Space is still available for Games, Learning & Libraries Symposium Nov 2-4 2008 in Oak Brook, IL. A preliminary program has been posted, and it looks like an amazing schedule of sessions.
The keynote speaker is Marc Prensky, author of Don’t Bother Me Mom, I’m Learning. Bearded guys Eli & Scott return to update attendees on the GT tournament system, and a state of the library gaming nation, and this year we get a teen panel hosted by Christy Mulligan from Hennepin County, AND Paul Waelchli, Brian Mayer and Chris Harris talk about connecting AASL standards to gaming. And that’s only day ONE!
Tracks include Instruction & Literacy, Games and School Libraries, Games and Community, Beyond Videogames, Collection Development, Managing Gaming, Games and Academic Libraries, and Informal Learning and Videogames. At a glance, there is truly something here for everyone.
Of course, time to play and time to network is being provided, too. And, new this year, bio breaks!
